They work in partnership with\u00a0management, staff and parents to\u00a0contributing to the effective running of the\u00a0schools. The Councils give opportunities for\u00a0students to develop leadership skills, learn\u00a0about election procedures and gives them\u00a0experience of working as part of a<br \/>\ncommittee. The Council is where students\u00a0bring ideas, suggestions and concerns to be\u00a0discussed.<\/p>\n<p>A new Student Council will be created in\u00a0Ardscoil na Mara in September 2014 and it\u00a0is hoped they will play a significant role as<br \/>\nthe formal voice of students in the new\u00a0school.<\/p>\n<header class=\"entry-header\">\n<h1 class=\"entry-title\">Parents\u2019 Council<\/h1>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>Both CBS and Stella Maris have\u00a0vibrant and long standing Parents\u2019\u00a0Councils who have been outstanding\u00a0supports to the schools. A new Parents\u2019 Council will be formed in\u00a0September 2014 for Ardscoil na\u00a0Mara. The Board of Management members who will be responsible for the overall management of the school are:<br \/>\nBrian Flannery (Chairperson), Declan\u00a0Clancy, Tony Dillon, Dr. Finbarr O\u2019Leary, Ann Hennebry, John Hartery, Clare Pollard and John Buckley.<\/p>\n<header class=\"entry-header\">\n<h1 class=\"entry-title\">School Booklists 2015\/16<\/h1>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>The school booklists for all years are now available to download as .pdf \u00a0(please click on relevant link below).
