Ardscoil na Mara is the\u00a0chosen name for our new Catholic faith voluntary\u00a0secondary school following the\u00a0amalgamation of Stella Maris and\u00a0C.B.S. Tramore. These are very\u00a0exciting times as we plan the\u00a0opening of our new 5,300m state\u00a0of the art school facility in\u00a0September 2014. I want to\u00a0acknowledge the vast\u00a0contribution that both Stella Maris and CBS Tramore\u00a0have made to education in our community for many\u00a0decades. The success and history of both schools will\u00a0not be forgotten and will provide the foundation and\u00a0guiding light for Ardscoil na Mara.<\/p>\n

Ardscoil na Mara will be a caring Christian Community in\u00a0which students have the opportunity to achieve academic\u00a0excellence and to grow spiritually, emotionally, creatively\u00a0and physically in a healthy and safe environment.<\/p>\n

As a brand new school Ardscoil na Mara can boast a range of facilities that includes 230 computers, Wi-Fi,\u00a0interactive whiteboards, science laboratories, music\u00a0department, art studio, library, large fully equipped\u00a0gymnasium, sand based sports playing pitch, music\u00a0department together with an internal and external camera\u00a0security system.<\/p>\n

The state of the art facilities we enjoy are merely\u00a0the instruments we use. The human resource\u00a0interaction of students, teachers and parents will\u00a0be at the core of all we achieve. Communication\u00a0and co-operation with all the stakeholders, students,\u00a0teachers, parents, board of management and\u00a0community at large is a principle of inclusiveness\u00a0that Ardscoil na Mara espouses.<\/p>\n

Ardscoil na Mara is a new name in education for\u00a0Tramore and its hinterland. This name fuses the\u00a0best traditions of the two newly amalgamated\u00a0schools and from September 1st 2014 will embark\u00a0on building a history all of its own. I invite you to\u00a0become part of this history and together we can\u00a0foster and enhance a reputation for excellence in\u00a0the fullest meaning of education.\u00a0We can offer an extensive range of\u00a0subjects for both the junior and\u00a0senior education cycles with the widest possible range\u00a0of extra-curricular activities available for students.<\/p>\n
